BRIEF: Wyndham Grand Carvoeiro Algarve is a five-star hospitality destination that combines contemporary luxury with the natural character of Portugal's Algarve coastline, offering guests a refined wellness experience overlooking the Atlantic.

ASPA delivered the spa remodelling on a turnkey basis as part of the transformation of the former four-star Hotel Baía Cristal Beach & Spa Resort, overseeing the design, supply and installation of the renewed wellness facilities to create a seamless and fully integrated spa destination.

Working alongside Lisbon-based architects NLA and project managers DDN Engineering, ASPA transformed the existing spa area into a contemporary hydrothermal experience centred around wellbeing and relaxation.

WHAT WE DID: The spa features a panoramic sauna with automatic water and aroma infusion, offering three scent experiences throughout the day, alongside an ice fountain, cold water fall and Kneipp hose to encourage contrast bathing.

A sensory shower recreates the atmosphere of the Algarve cliffs through water, aroma and temperature, while the two-level steam cabin allows guests to select from three different aromas.

Completing the experience, a vitality pool with four massage stations provides an inviting space for guests to relax, recover and enjoy the surrounding coastal setting.

OUTCOME: The result is a refined five-star wellness destination that brings together contemporary spa design with the natural character of the Algarve. The renewed spa complements the hotel transformation, creating a distinctive wellness experience for guests.
