BRIEF: To consult on, refurbish and enhance the existing spa facilities at Marriott Óbidos, transforming the space into a distinctive wellness destination. The project focused on modernising the guest experience through the introduction of new hydrothermal facilities, improving operational efficiency, integrating innovative seawater wellness elements, and ensuring the spa delivered a premium, future-proof offering that reflected the resort's luxury positioning and long-term wellness ambitions.

WHAT WE DID: We delivered a fully integrated hydrothermal experience, including a central reception pool and feature hammam, a dedicated rhassoul suite, and a salt therapy room. The space was supported by a custom-engineered seawater integration system, paired with non-corrosive, low-maintenance pool deck materials and high-resilience drainage solutions to ensure long-term performance, durability, and ease of operation.

OUTCOME: The result is a luxury spa sanctuary that harmoniously merges cultural tradition with technical innovation. Seawater elements are fully integrated across the hydrothermal areas, enhancing both therapeutic value and environmental integrity.
